De la neige a St Malo? C'est bien rare! Mais, voila, il y en a. Et, si vous traversez la Rance et continuez un peu vers l'ouest tout devient blanc.
50 YEARS OF FOLKBOATS:
If a home for sale has curb appeal and makes a great first impression potential homebuyers are more likely to want to look inside. The same applies when selling a boat. The sellers of this 1983 Bayliner 3270 understand the importance of their boat’s dock appeal. They continue to attend to their boat’s appeal to increase their prospects for selling at this difficult time. They’ve

A UNIQUE WATERSIDE LIFESTYLE
ISLAND LIFE Island Harbour is conveniently located near to many of the island's fantastic attractions and sites of interest. We've picked a few of our favourites, although any of our staff will be happy to advise on days out.
Island Harbour began life as one of the great English tide mills, the East Medina Mill. The original building was built on the site of today’s lock entrance in 1790 by William Porter, a baker from nearby Newport. At this time the Medina River was a mooring place for convict transports, and a story related in Albin’s History of the Isle of Wight published in 1795 tells of an occasion when Mr Porter's workmen were rowing down to work from Newport they were taunted with being bound for Botany Bay. In this way, East Medina Mill became known as Botany Bay Mill. However, a more likely interpretation is that William Porter supplied ship's biscuits to the convict transports in the river. Just after 1790 the banks who had previously supported Mr. Porter withdrew their funding and the business was forced to close. Thomas Porter died a year later and the buildings were left empty.
Seattle weather forecasters call it a Canadian weather system. Our friends in British Columbia, suffering similarly from the cold, call it an Alaskan weather system. Either way, the Northwest has been blasted with miserable weather -- strong winds, snow, ice & frigid record breaking temperatures. Though a fresh blanket of new fallen snow is beautiful, it can be a hassle if you’re a boat owner or a boat broker.
Seattle is a beautiful city in the day and by night. Neil & Mandy founders of Boatshed took a tour to the Boatshed Seattle office to see how the boat sales business was doing in the North West Pacific area.
Thinking about selling your boat don’t delay– boats are selling - FACT!

We’ll even consider offers on the price, or boats in trade!
More boats please! It may come as a surprise but the market for second hand boats is alive and well with plenty of cash buyers poised (indeed eager) to buy.
Sell Your Boat Now
Buying a yacht is generally a big financial commitment for most people. Ensuring that you buy successfully requires some effort and personal involvement.
Boatshed Dartmouth have a fantastic offer for boat owners considering selling their boat this winter. We have many purchasers keen and ready to buy boats but there are just not enough boats to meet this demand. With strong sales during 2010 (the Boatshed group sold an incredible 67 boats in October) there is in fact a shortage of boats on the market. To meet this demand we are offering a pair of free admission tickets to the London International Boat Show for every owner signing a new sales listing agreement during the months of November and December (tickets at the door are normally £23 each).
Salcombe Harbour have recently upgraded the Shadycombe boat storage facilities with a brand new 12 ton capacity travel hoist from Sublift. South Hams District Council provide boat storage facilities at Shadycombe Boat Storage for the winter and previously boats were lifted out onto the car park using a contractors ‘traditional’ crane. However it was decided that South Hams District Council would upgrade and operate the whole facility and make it available to Salcombe Harbour. At the same time an ‘environmentally friendly’ scrub off system was also installed where all the waste wash off water is recovered. Boatshed Dartmouth, providing first class brokerage services to the South Hams including Salcombe and Dartmouth harbours, were recently able to make use of these excellent new facilities for the successful sale of a locally owned Beneteau First 211. Salcombe Harbour Master, Ian Gibson, kindly managed to squeeze in a vacant slot in their busy schedule for the survey with the boat being held in the strops while the surveyor carried out his work. The South Hams District Council staff operating the service were friendly and efficient with the result that the survey went off without a hitch. As part of the comprehensive service offered by Boatshed Dartmouth, broker Paul Singer helped arrange the transport of the Beneteau to Falmouth in Cornwall and he once again liaised with the harbour staff for the lift, mast un-stepping and load onto transport, all on a Saturday morning. All went smoothly once again and the yacht was safely delivered to her new owner. If you are looking to buy or sell your boat in Salcombe or Dartmouth call Paul Singer and he’ll provide a complete, hassle free brokerage service across the South Hams. The previous owner of the Beneteau First was so impressed with the service he wrote afterwards “A highly professional and friendly service, quality delivery and an outstanding result – to be recommended to others, no question!” The new Salcombe Harbour facilities certainly played a role in the smooth delivery of this sale and it’s certain now that with the new facility fully operational, buying and selling boats in Salcombe will be a whole lot easier.
