About Paul Briggs
I started working with Boatshed Lincolnshire in October 2020.
What did you do before working with Boatshed?
Various different roles.
What attracted you to become part of the Boatshed team?
Having had an interest in joining Boatshed Lincolnshire for a number of years but Lincolnshire being out on a limb, so to speak, I finally managed along with my partner Ann, to join Tim Kingston as a team.
Are you a motorboater or a sailor?
I've had many years of sailing, first as a boy of 12 on the Norfolk Broads and then as a teenager out of Lymington into the Solent by Lysander and in the last 12 years I've been sailing my Ohlson 35 which is berthed in Grimsby, where we are members of the Humber Cruising Association. My partner, Ann and I have been renovating a beautiful 1933 wooden sailing yacht which we are looking forward to sailing on the Broads.
What is your most memorable boating experience?
In 2009 I took part in the Clipper Ventures round the world yacht race on the Hull and Humber, starting at Gosport ,onto La Rochelle and then to Rio de Janeiro, it was quite an experience !
