MSP Visits Troon Yacht Haven after Parliamentary motion

After submitting a Scottish Parliament motion to commend Troon Yacht Haven, Siobhian Brown MSP was welcomed to Troon by Marina Director Stephen Bennie to see first-hand the recent investment in the marina and new Salt Lodge Hotel.

Lodged on 1st April 2022 by the MSP for Ayr, Prestwick and Troon, the Parliamentary motion commended Troon Yacht Haven for their recent Five Gold Anchor Accreditation after a £1.5million investment in shoreside and pontoon facilities. The motion was supported by over 20 other MSPs.

Siobhan Brown MSP: “It is always fantastic to see a local business thriving. Everyone at Troon Yacht Haven should be proud of their hard work in achieving five Gold Anchors, which places the Marina amongst some of the best in the world.”

I was delighted to present Stephen and Sarah with a motion from the Scottish Parliament congratulating everyone for their achievement. I was also lucky enough to get a tour of the facilities and the new Salt Lodge Hotel. This is a fantastic addition for the area which I am sure will prove very popular.”

Stephen Bennie, Marina Director Troon Yacht Haven: “Thanks to significant investment and extensive work from the team – who’ve carried on quietly and professionally with no inconvenience to customers – our marina now reflects Troon Yacht Haven’s commitment to excellence.

“It was wonderful to welcome Siobhan Brown MSP to visit Troon Yacht Haven. Being recognised in a Scottish Parliamentary motion is extremely special and I’m so proud of our team and the company for this recognition.”
