Broker's Comments

Here we have another example of the 'evergreen' Westerly Centaur, a handsome and roomy bilge keeled cruiser with offshore capability. Relatively heavy displacement for a 26 footer, she's well balanced and seakindly on all points of sail. Her accommodation can sleep six at full stretch if a v berth infill is constructed, or the saloon table is lowered to provide a double berth in the saloon. However, a crew of six would be a tight squeeze for most people and in reality she is a great family boat for two adults and a gaggle of kids, plus a dog, in the days when I personally owned a Centaur!
This example I would describe as good for her age. A tidy new engine installed in 2012 is still looking good and annually serviced by her owner. New windows in 2016 so none of the usual Centaur dribbles, sagging headlinings dealt with by pragmatic battens and new upholstery last year. She'll be coming out for a wash off, re antifouled and new anodes in a couple of weeks time when we shall re-photograph her, particularly below the waterline after which she will be re launched.
