This vessel was recently re-powered with an efficient Yanmar diesel engine. It currently shows 450 Hours. There are 2 house batteries and a starting battery that are trickle charged via alternator, 100w solar panel, as well as shore power when dockside. All batteries are housed in stand alone non - conductive containers.

Fuel is stored in 24 gallon aluminum alloy tank.
Potable water and hot water are stored in food grade plastic tanks - as is sanitary waste.

Headsail is a 150% Genoa that does not appear original. It has a UV protective covering the foot and leech. There is very little to no chaffing or extensive wear. It is mounted on a nice Harken furling system.

Mainsail is original with manufacturer labeling. It appears clean, intact and functional. The main sail rests in a very nice MackPack / Lazy jack bag. The main halyard is accessed and hauled from a Harken winch on the mast. There is also a hank-on storm/tri-sail included.

Length overall for moorage purposes is 31 ft.

A standout of this cruiser is the impressive volume of tankage for a boat of this size. Fuel is stored in 24 gallon aluminum alloy tank. The potable water and holding tanks are plastic. All tanks are easily accessible for servicing and monitoring.

The heavily laid fiberglass hull shows well and appears to be free of moisture ingress or damage. A recent survey (2024) is available.

As you descend the companionway, there is a surprisingly large wet head to starboard. Within, you will find a vanity with washbasin and an extendable faucet that doubles a shower head. There is a modern, clean Jabsco head with easy access to discharge valves. The holding tank is accessed from the starboard cockpit locker.

The main saloon and settee are large enough to accommodate crew and guests comfortably. There is a table with seperate drop leafs for dining. The port settee can be trundled inboard to expand into a larger bunk. A cabin with a V-berth lies forward.

The galley is to port. It is quite roomy, with nice features and good counter space. There is a deep top loading refrigerator that looks to be very well insulated and free of stains or odors. There is a very nice gimbaled Hillerange 2-burner propane stove with oven that is very clean and lightly used. There is a shut off solenoid valve coming from the external propane locker in the aft cockpit.

The removable headliner appears intact and undamaged. The portlights are functional and show very little wear. The interior is very attractive and clean - trim is original mahogany and rattan with no visible sign of stains or moisture ingress.

Propane cylinders are located in a propane cabinet aft of the helm. The cabin heater and gimbaled stove are supplied through a shut off solenoid located aft of the galley.

Bilge pumps are easily accessible and appear to be functioning as they should. The bilge was dry and clean at time of viewing and show little sign of water ingress.

Access to the emergency tiller is below the helm seat.

From 1977-1985, Lancer Yachts of Irvine, California hired renowned sailboat designers C&C to produce a lightweight family cruiser, and what emerged from a C&C 29 M1 and M2 racer was the Lancer 29 M3.

Currently up for sale, is this 3-owner Lancer 29 Mk 3 shows very nicely. Commissioned in 1982, she was one of the last 29 Mark 3s produced before evolving to the Lancer 30 M5.

The exterior appears solid and well preserved, especially for a boat of this generation. Stepping onto the vessel is unobstructed by lifelines and deck hardware. The black anodized aluminum toe rail is a stand out feature of the race boats designed by C&C. There is a nice canvas dodger with clear plastic that looks very nice and functional. The lifelines and stanchions appear to be in very good condition. No cracks or dings in the hull are visible and everything appears to be original.

This sailboat has all the amenities to meet the needs of a solo sailor, a couple or small family just getting into sailing.
