Nigel Fletcher has joined the team at Boatshed Plymouth. He will be taking over the day to day operation from Tony and Amina Cleal who will be concentrating on their roles within Boatshed HQ whilst cruising this summer in their Sigma 33.

Nigel is no stranger to the marine industry having worked for Flying Fish and Neilson Holidays. He learnt to sail on the Northern University Circuit in Lark dinghies and has since been involved in different aspects of dinghy sailing including rescue boat duties. He has his RYA and AYF power boat qualifications and then, like most dinghy sailors he progressed to larger boats. He has also spent some time as a sailing instructor. Nigel is also a keen windsurfer and has taught this too.

Before joining Boatshed Plymouth Nigel ran a different business in Plymouth and has involved in the Plymouth Business community for more than 15 years. Nigel is keen to use the skills he has gained to develop the Boatshed brand within the Boatshed Plymouth area. This includes Plymouth’s five main marinas: Plymouth Yacht Haven, Queen Annes Battery (QAB), Sutton Harbour, Mayflower and Mill Bay along with the yards and moorings along the Cattewater and Devon shores of the Tamar, the River Yealm and the villages along the South Hams coastline, Bigbury, Bantham and Hope Cove.

At Boatshed it doesn’t take much to make us throw a fizz@five party and Nigel joining the team is a good enough excuse for us so please come along on Thursday 18th March 2010 anytime between 5pm and 8pm to join in the usual fun and grab a glass of fizz at our Plymouth office in the Western Hangar, Mount Batten.
